112 – Deftones, Idles, Public Enemy and Svalbard

It’s a big week … possibly even the biggest week of the year thus far as we review new albums by Deftones, Idles, Public Enemy, Svalbard, Anna von Hausswolff and The Ocean.
On top of all that, Remfry and Steve discuss the terrific 2000Trees announcement, the sad circumstances that have led to the hiatus of Anathema and Steve reviews NoFX’s livestream ‘performance’ of their 1992 White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean.

104 – International Melting Black Jazz Society

It’s a very varied show this week as Remfry and Steve review new releases by Creeper, Imperial Triumphant, Taylor Swift, Alain Johannes, Fall of Messiah and a split between NoFX and Frank Turner. There’s sad news as we pay tribute to Fleetwood Mac co-founder Peter Green and hip-shaking Mick Jagger swaggers his way into Broken Records with his sophomore solo album Primitive Cool

12 – Silly Billy and the Infinite Weirdness (feat. Greg Puciato and Steven Alexander from The Black Queen)

Steve and Remfry went to see the original Smashing Pumpkins line-up (shhhh, don’t talk about Darcy!) at London’s most soulless shameful shit-shed Wembley Arena… turns out there was A LOT to talk about! Remfry managed to catch a bunch of other shows as well, including much-hyped masked marauders Sleep Token, Part 1 of Brighton label Small Pond’s Enjoy Sugoi festivities and The Black Queen in Nottingham.

Speaking of which, Greg Puciato and Steven Alexander from The Black Queen both sat down with Remfry before the show to talk about their new album Infinite Games, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Chris Cornell (amongst other things). Album reviews this week come from Greta Van Fleet, Tom Morello, Shining and mewithoutyou and this week’s trade-off is Grade’s fourth and final album Head First, Straight To Hell in exchange for Wild Throne’s one and only album Harvest of Darkness.
